After nearly finishing my courses and anticipating my final year at TU/e, I chose an internship over a minor. Eager to work with real designers on market-ready projects, I secured an internship at Balini, a small design firm in Beek-Ubberbergen. The intimate team and office created a welcoming learning environment. At Balini, I designed housing for an advertising screen and tackled a conceptual project for storing audio cables. Despite NDA restrictions, I can share that the experience profoundly shaped my understanding of industrial design, emphasizing pragmatic approaches and serial production. I improved my 3D modeling and design sketching skills, realizing both my strengths and areas for growth. This invaluable experience transformed my view on design and significantly enhanced my professional skills.

In 2022 I decided to look for an Internship opportunity, because I felt the strong urge to work with professional designers and work on projects that would actually go to market. I ended up doing my internship at Balini, a relatively small design firm in Beek-Ubberbergen. The company came from a much more pragmatic approach than I was used to at the TU/e and it may have been the most valuable experience in my professional career so far.
