In the Netherlands, over half a million people live in poverty, lacking financial resources to meet basic needs, which significantly impacts their quality of life. To explore financial care practices, a collaboration with Bindkracht10, a foundation offering financial care in Nijmegen, was established. This partnership enabled an in-depth study through direct work at Bindkracht10's location, engagement with industry experts, and interactions with the target group. Insights were gained from observations during financial coaching sessions, hosting a workshop, and testing concepts. The collaboration also facilitated connections with experts from other organizations.

This comprehensive research, combined with desktop studies and iterative processes, led to the development of [Grow], a product-service-system that aims to enhance financial care organizations' efficiency. [Grow] consists of three parts: The Link, the user application, and a client portal. [Grow] aims to improve the client registration phase and provide tools for financial management. It offers users anonymous professional assistance and incentivises engagement. The PSS can be used to increase efficiency by providing professionals with client information before intake consults. Ultimately, [Grow] aims to make financial help more accessible, effective and hopefully help to break stigmas about poverty.

[Grow] is a product-service-system I designed as an assistance toolkit for financial support organisations. This set of products offers the means for organisations to break through stigmas and lower the threshold to ask for financial aid as well as providing tools for people in need of financial help.
